In late September, the Kansas Water Environment Association recognized the KanPak U.S. team in Arkansas City, Kansas with a Class 6B Wastewater Treatment Plant Award for the facility’s wastewater treatment plant. Nominated by the City of Arkansas City, KanPak earned the award for exemplary communication and operational efficiency.
“We are incredibly proud of our wastewater team here in Ark City for all their hard work and dedication to treating and discharging quality water,” said Brant Calvin, Senior Maintenance Manager for KanPak Arkansas City. “This award is a reflection of the entire wastewater team and their efforts to always maintain the highest standards.”
To select plant operators that demonstrate outstanding plant operation and maintenance, the award criteria includes plant performance, comprehensive plant records and files, state of plant maintenance, maintenance records, schedules, programs, and the general appearance of the plant and grounds. Additionally, the winner selection process entails a facility tour by a group of wastewater professionals. The complete winner list is available here.
