GSF Career Spotlight: Dorian Ramirez

At KanPak, GSF’s dairy and beverage products business, a strong environment of support, recognition, and continuous learning helps associates build fulfilling pathways from the ground up. For Dorian Ramirez, that foundation turned an entry-level role in the Arkansas City, Kansas facility into a journey spanning more than a decade.

“The culture at KanPak completely transformed my career by turning a third-shift line job into a lifelong leadership path,” shared Dorian.

After eight months, he earned a promotion to pouch filler operator. About a year later, another opportunity opened the door to a process operator role. From there, his trajectory gained momentum through process lead, packaging lead, production supervisor, and eventually his current position as off-shift production manager.

Dorian credits that progression to the people around him and a workplace that fosters learning. Managers, supervisors, and production team members shared knowledge, offered guidance, and encouraged him to keep pushing forward. Each new promotion brought fresh challenges, and each challenge expanded his skills and confidence.

He said, “Because the leaders have actively recognized hard work and pushed me to grow, I felt empowered to constantly challenge myself, to climb the ranks, and transition into management.”

Over the years, those experiences strengthened his commitment to KanPak. He points to the people as the biggest reason behind his long tenure and continued ambition.

“What makes KanPak a great place to work is its people,” said Dorian. “It’s like a second home.”

Today, Dorian leads production teams while continuing to develop as a leader. He plans to pursue a daytime operations manager role when the right opportunity opens up.
