GSF leaders frequently expand their impact by serving in nonprofit and industry organizations, sharing their expertise while gaining valuable experience in board roles. Recently, three GSF leaders earned appointments to new boards of directors, further enhancing their professional growth and industry contributions.
Ryan Hammer, Corporate Senior Vice President and President, Quality Custom Distribution (QCD), joined the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) Board of Directors for a three-year term starting in 2025. Representing foodservice distribution companies that supply products to restaurants, cafeterias, schools, hospitals, and other foodservice operations, IFDA serves as a key advocate and resource for the industry.
Nathan Murphy, GSF’s Group Vice President, Operations – Protein Products, will begin a three-year term in 2025 on the board of the Food Bank of East Alabama. Dedicated to ensuring no child, senior, or family in its community struggles to access food, the food bank builds a robust network that provides resources to pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, youth and senior centers, and more.
Marco Guerrero, Director of Operations, QCD South Region, started serving on the Feeding South Florida Advisory Board in late 2024. The organization combats food insecurity by providing immediate access to nutrient-rich meals and leading advocacy efforts to address hunger and poverty, supporting the most vulnerable individuals and families in the community.
“At GSF, leadership extends beyond day-to-day operations. Guided by our Creed and Values, we leverage our knowledge to contribute to the well-being of people where we live and work, while adding thought leadership to the industries we serve,” said Brian Dick, GSF President and Chief Executive Officer. “These leaders embody GSF’s culture of growth and service, inspiring all associates to engage in community involvement and industry leadership.”
