GSF Welcomes Frank Listi as New Board Member


Golden State Foods is pleased to announce that Frank Listi, former Senior Executive Vice President, has been added as a new board member to its board of directors. Frank will join the board of directors effective immediately. During his tenure at Golden State Foods, Frank has served in many roles as executive leader, including Senior Vice President of Liquid Products, President of Liquid Products, Executive Vice President Food Processing Group, and most recently, Senior Executive Vice President. During his tenure at GSF, the company grew substantially, with the number of GSF associates increasing from 1,000 to more than 4,000 worldwide and facilities more than doubling. “Frank has exemplified GSF’s Creed and Values with associates, customers and suppliers, while helping the company move forward with its strategic plans,” said Mark Wetterau, Chairman and CEO. “Under his leadership, Frank has stimulated a number of innovative achievements, including overseeing the introduction of the company’s first sales and marketing team; instigating the first Product Development group; helping to optimize various Liquids and Beef facilities; and overseeing the growth and development of GSF’s international businesses. We are honored to welcome him to the board of directors.” Prior to GSF, Frank spent 25 years at Milwaukee-based Universal Foods Corp. There he served as president of Universal Flavors, a subsidiary of the parent company, and led the fermentation operations into world-class status, recognized for quality and cost containment. Through his leadership, the flavor business entity was built into a company mainstay. He held several positions involved with diversifying and commercializing new product developments as well as consummating acquisitions that resulted in new market channels and/or new technologies. Frank earned his bachelor of science degree in microbiology from Louisiana State University and a master of science degree in microbiology from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. He also graduated from Harvard’s Advanced Business Management Program. He sits on the board of directors of Orange County’s Serving People in Need (SPIN), the GSF Foundation and Hydrite Chemical Co. In his new role, Frank joins board members Mark Wetterau, Mike Waitukaitis, GSF Vice Chairman of the Board and former Chief Financial Officer; Conrad Wetterau, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Quality Beverage; Jim Williams, Private Consultant and former GSF Chairman and CEO; Sharon Davis, Private Consultant and former First Lady of California; Dick Gochnauer, Former President and Chief Executive Officer, United Stationers, Inc.; Nabil El-Hage, Chairman, Academy of Executive Education, LLC and Program Director for Malaysia’s ICLIF Leadership and Governance Centre; and Dr. Tom Haggai, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IGA, Inc.
