GSF Leaders Appointed to Top Industry Board Chair Roles

May 4, 2020

In late April, the U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (USRSB) announced its incoming Board of Directors Chair, Dr. Wayne Morgan, GSF’s Corporate Vice President and President, Protein Products and Sustainability. With Golden State Foods as a charter member, USRSB formed in 2015 as a multi-stakeholder initiative developed to advance, support, and communicate continuous improvement in sustainability of the U.S. beef value chain.

“I am proud to get the opportunity to serve as Chairperson for the USRSB,” said Dr. Wayne Morgan. “This is a unique organization that brings all stakeholders in the beef industry together for the common goal of continuous improvement in beef sustainability. It is the strength of this collaboration that will allow us to build on the already significant accomplishments.”

Dr. Morgan has co-chaired the USRSB Engagement, Measurement and Progress Working Group through the development of the organization’s Sustainability Assessment Guidelines. He also serves on the McDonald’s North American Beef Council (advisory council for McDonald’s Beef Supply Chain Management), Texas A&M Animal Science Advisory Board, the Better Meat Co. Advisory Board, and the Board of Directors for Hulsey Environmental Services.

For a three-year term beginning in 2020, the Association for Dressings and Sauces (ADS) appointed Brian Dick, GSF Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, as Chair of its Board of Directors. ADS represents manufacturers of salad dressing, mayonnaise, and condiment sauces and suppliers of raw materials, packaging and equipment to this segment of the food industry.

“It’s a privilege to serve our industry and represent GSF in this important role,” said Brian Dick. “Together with leading experts throughout the ADS manufacturing and supplier community, I have the opportunity to help shape and implement the ADS strategic plan, which is designed to advance the mayonnaise, salad dressings, and sauces industry by communicating product benefits, working with government agencies and consumer influencers, and facilitating the exchange of ideas.”
