Golden State Foods is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Dick from Group Vice President Liquid Products, Conyers to Corporate Vice President and President of Liquid Products – North America. Brian will now be responsible for all domestic Liquid Products production, leveraging GSF’s national footprint. Brian will take the lead in the McDonald’s relationship for Liquid Products. He will continue to report to Larry McGill, Corporate Vice President and President of Food Processing, and will office in Conyers. “Brian has demonstrated outstanding leadership in his various roles in the company, particularly as he’s led the Conyers Liquids team,” says Larry. “He is a dedicated professional whose focus is always in line with our Creed and Values, while striving to improve all facets of our company. He has excelled in all his responsibilities, and I have great confidence in Brian as he takes on this new role in the company.” Brian came to GSF 1999 as Business Development Manager (GSF Egypt) and has since contributed to much of GSF’s success in diversifying the company’s Liquid Products business domestically and in Egypt. In his initial position, Brian played a key role in significant product growth in Egypt. He came to the United States when he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager (U.S.) in 2002, and because of his effectiveness in landing major accounts in the Liquids business, he was again promoted to Director of National Accounts in 2003. Brian continued this trend during his role as Group Vice President of National Accounts in 2006, where he expanded the company’s sales force, landing a number of new customers. In 2008, Brian took on the responsibility of Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Assistant General Manager, Conyers, helping to lead the facility to profitable performance. He continued this outstanding service when he was promoted to Group Vice President and General Manager Liquid Products, Conyers in 2010. During this time, Brian was instrumental in helping the plant earn an ‘A’ on its BRC audit scores, improving efficiencies while growing his team. He led the Conyers Liquids team to earn Yum! Brands’ coveted Supplier of the Year award along with winning GSF’s 2011 Chairman’s Challenge Award with the Meat Products Group. Active in the GSF Foundation, Brian also chaired the Foundation’s 2012 Vendor Campaign with outstanding results.
