Bob Wolpert Promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President and President, Quality Custom Distribution


Golden State Foods (GSF) is pleased to announce the promotion of Bob Wolpert to corporate senior vice president and president, Quality Custom Distribution (QCD). Wolpert will oversee the corporate strategic planning processes, planning and initiatives including Information Technology for the company, as it expands throughout the world. He will continue to be responsible for QCD, one of GSF’s national distribution companies as well as Centralized Leasing Corp. (CLC), Golden State’s leasing company and Central Freight Management (CFM), GSF’s freight management company. “Bob has done an outstanding job in his responsibilities at Golden State Foods the past four years,” said Mark Wetterau, chairman and chief executive officer for the company. “In addition to his effective leadership in distribution, he has driven our strategic planning processes to help the company achieve its objectives and best serve our customers. I look forward to working with Bob in his expanded role at GSF, helping to take our company to the next level.” Now in his fourth year with Golden State Foods, Bob previously served as President of ITT Corporation’s and Xylem Inc.’s business interests in China and India and President of a global division, Flow Control. Mr. Wolpert also served as a corporate senior vice president and innovation champion, promoting best practices in innovation and innovation leadership. Bob began his career with ITT Corporation in 2003 as Global Vice President of Six Sigma and Lean for the Electronic Components Group. Prior to joining ITT, Bob held leadership roles at several companies, including international corporations Lockheed Martin and DST Systems. Originally from the Washington D.C. area, Mr. Wolpert earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in business from the University of Denver and earned an MBA degree from Harvard University. He currently lives in Orange County, California, with his wife and three children. Bob serves on the Board of Directors of the Second Harvest Food Bank in Orange County and as a Board Member of Starbucks’ foundation, LeadersUp, whose mission is to mentor youth in need towards economic and leadership opportunities.
