The National Safety Council (NSC) named GSF Opelika one of the 2022 Industry Leaders for the facility team’s commitment to workplace safety. Announced this month, the distinguished award honors the top five percent of NSC members and facilities that meet the 2022 Occupational Excellence Achievement Award criteria. Based on the North American Industry Classification System (NASICS), the lowest total incident rate, and employee work hours, the Council recognizes winners who contribute to advancing safety within the industry.
“Receiving the National Safety Council Industry Leader Award is reflective of the team’s ownership of safety in the workplace,” said Ray Magruder, GSF Corporate EHS Director. “We greatly appreciate Opelika’s strong safety leadership in driving the safety agenda, while keeping our associates safe. Congratulations to the Opelika team for this well-deserved recognition!”
The National Safety Council, one of America’s leading nonprofits, seeks to eliminate workplace risk factors contributing to preventable death and injury. Each year, the Council recognizes companies and facilities across several industries that accomplish outstanding safety achievements.
