The GSF Liquid Products North America (LPNA) team earned the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) 2022 STAR Innovation Award this month from its customer, Yum! Brands, the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. On April 11, Yum! Brands presented its annual STAR Awards during a ceremony in Huntington Beach, California to recognize suppliers for their commitment to Yum! Brands and their outstanding accomplishments in supporting the customer’s success in 2022.
“Out of hundreds of suppliers, Yum! Brands honored GSF’s talented product innovators for their support in commercializing the KFC Buffalo Ranch sauce,” said Julie Jenkins, Director, Product Development, GSF. “Congratulations and thank you to Becky Zollo, Fred Duong, Fred Heurtin, Karin DeChristopher, Shivanee Chaudhary, and the cross-functional teams that contributed to this successful product launch and played a key role in earning the prestigious customer recognition!”
Introduced in October 2022 and now a permanent menu item, KFC’s creamy Buffalo Ranch dipping sauce has helped take fried chicken to a whole new level. Combining two classic flavors, the Buffalo Ranch sauce made by GSF includes buttermilk, a blend of peppers, herbs, and spices.
The LPNA team has previously received Yum! Brands STAR Awards in 2011 with the KFC STAR Supplier Quality Award and the overall Yum! Brands Supplier of the Year Award. Additionally, Yum! Brands recognized GSF in 2005 with its Supplier Quality STAR Award.
